50,700 registered bed nights

In September 2020, 50,700 registered bed nights were recorded in Jönköping (-27.6 %), of which 46,900 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 3,700 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 16 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 74 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 28 percent from last year's September.

14,000 rooms (-20.6 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 14,500 rooms (-41.8 %) by business visitors.

Between January and September, 395,000 registered bed nights (-24.6 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 38,700 (-75.1 %) for foreigners in Jönköping, in total 433,000 (-36.2 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.1 million registered bed nights (-30.9 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.7 million nights (-20.1 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 436,000 nights (-62.3 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Jönköping out of total registered bed nights was 1.6 % (+0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.7 % and foreign bed nights 0.8 %.

Length of stay increased 11 percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 11 percent compared to earlier year. In Jönköping, length of stay in September was on average 1.8 nights and in Sweden 2.0 nights (+4.9 %).

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Jönköping on average 1.7 nights (+4.8 %) and foreigners 2.3 nights (+6.5 %).

28,700 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 35 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 94.4 percent were domestic, and 5.6 percent were from foreign countries.

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Jönköping on average 1.7 nights (+0.15) and foreigners 2.3 nights (+0.68).
