Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 123 percent

In April 2022, 62,600 registered bed nights were recorded in Jönköping (+123.0 %), of which 53,700 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 8,900 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 118 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 161 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 123 percent from last year's April.

16,300 rooms (+104.7 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 20,700 rooms (+151.7 %) by business visitors.

Between January and April, 140,000 registered bed nights (+81.8 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 24,100 (+110.5 %) for foreigners in Jönköping, in total 164,000 (+85.5 %) registered nights.

Total of 4.2 million registered bed nights (+64.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.4 million nights (+46.2 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 791,000 nights (+260.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Jönköping out of total registered bed nights was 1.5 % (+0.4 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.6 % and foreign bed nights 1.1 %.

Length of stay was 1.7 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 11 percent compared to earlier year. In Jönköping, length of stay in April was on average 1.7 nights and in Sweden 1.9 nights (-23.8 %).

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Jönköping on average 1.7 nights (-12.7 %) and foreigners 1.7 nights (-9.6 %).

36,800 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 151 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 85.7 percent were domestic, and 14.3 percent were from foreign countries.

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Jönköping on average 1.7 nights (-0.21) and foreigners 1.7 nights (-0.18).
