Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 72 percent

In June 2022, 94,500 registered bed nights were recorded in Jönköping (+72.5 %), of which 69,900 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 24,600 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 40 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 420 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 72 percent from last year's June.

24,900 rooms (+77.3 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 17,700 rooms (+83.7 %) by business visitors.

Between January and June, 274,000 registered bed nights (+69.4 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 60,800 (+200.0 %) for foreigners in Jönköping, in total 335,000 (+84.0 %) registered nights.

Market share 1.4 percent

Total of 6.9 million registered bed nights (+39.7 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 5.2 million nights (+17.3 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 1.6 million nights (+259.5 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Jönköping out of total registered bed nights was 1.4 % (+0.3 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.3 % and foreign bed nights 1.5 %.

Length of stay increased two percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased two percent compared to earlier year. In Jönköping, length of stay in June was on average 1.7 nights and in Sweden 1.9 nights (-13.2 %).

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Jönköping on average 1.7 nights (-7.2 %) and foreigners 1.6 nights (-0.3 %).

55,500 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 68 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 73.1 percent were domestic, and 26.9 percent were from foreign countries.

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Jönköping on average 1.7 nights (+0.04) and foreigners 1.6 nights (+0.21).
