Registered bed nights increased 175 percent (May, Jyväskylä Region)

Registered bednights in Jyväskylä region in May increased 175 percent compared to year before. Bednights were recorded in Jyväskylä region in May 2021 27,500, of which for Finns 25,800 and for foreign visitors 1,700. Therefore domestic bed nights increased 171 percent and foreign bed nights increased 240 percent. In total, bed nights increased 175 percent from last year's May.

13,800 nights (+303.3 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 13,700 nights (+107.9 %) by business visitors.

Between January and May, bed nights in Jyväskylä region were in total 109,000 (-27.7 % compared to year before), of which domestic were 105,000 (-22.2 % compared to year before) and foreign visitors 4,300 (-73.5 % compared to year before). In Finland bed nights were between January and May in total 3.9 million (-22.0 % compared to year before), of which domestic were 3.7 million (+7.9 % compared to year before) and foreign visitors 258,000 (-84.2 % compared to year before).
