Registered bed nights increased 163 percent (March, Jyväskylä Region)

Registered bednights in Jyväskylä region in March increased 163 percent compared to year before. Bednights were recorded in Jyväskylä region in March 2022 50,100, of which for Finns 46,900 and for foreign visitors 3,200. Therefore domestic bed nights increased 155 percent and foreign bed nights increased 360 percent. In total, bed nights increased 163 percent from last year's March.

Most foreign bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (430 nights).

30,400 nights (+227.4 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 19,700 nights (+101.3 %) by business visitors.

Between January and March, bed nights in Jyväskylä region were in total 113,000 (+66.2 % compared to year before), of which domestic were 105,000 (+60.7 % compared to year before) and foreign visitors 7,600 (+220.4 % compared to year before). In Finland bed nights were between January and March in total 4.2 million (+72.1 % compared to year before), of which domestic were 3.1 million (+36.1 % compared to year before) and foreign visitors 1.1 million (+595.8 % compared to year before).

Total of 1.8 million registered bed nights (+105.0 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 1.4 million nights (+70.7 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 377,000 nights (+699.7 %) by foreigners.

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Jyväskylä Region on average 1.5 nights (-0.15) and foreigners 2.3 nights (-1.4).
