Registered bed nights increased one percent (August, Jyväskylä Region)

Registered bednights in Jyväskylä region in August increased one percent compared to year before. Bednights were recorded in Jyväskylä region in August 2021 55,100, of which for Finns 51,600 and for foreign visitors 3,500. Therefore domestic bed nights decreased one percent and foreign bed nights increased 79 percent. In total, bed nights increased one percent from last year's August.

37,800 nights (+6.4 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 17,200 nights (-8.0 %) by business visitors.

Between January and August, bed nights in Jyväskylä region were in total 323,000 (+3.7 % compared to year before), of which domestic were 312,000 (+7.3 % compared to year before) and foreign visitors 11,500 (-45.1 % compared to year before). In Finland bed nights were between January and August in total 11.2 million (+8.0 % compared to year before), of which domestic were 10.4 million (+23.6 % compared to year before) and foreign visitors 812,000 (-58.7 % compared to year before).
