22,900 registered bed nights

In June 2020, 22,900 registered bed nights were recorded in Jyväskylä (-52.2 %), of which 22,300 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 620 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 42 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 93 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 52 percent from last year's June.

11,900 nights (-50.9 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 11,000 nights (-53.6 %) by business visitors.

Between January and June, 120,000 registered bed nights (-38.7 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 13,000 (-59.1 %) for foreigners in Jyväskylä, in total 133,000 (-41.5 %) registered nights.

Market share 2.0 percent

Total of 1.1 million registered bed nights (-50.9 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 1.1 million nights (-36.1 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 50,900 nights (-91.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Jyväskylä out of total registered bed nights was 2.0 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 2.1 % and foreign bed nights 1.2 %.

16,100 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 47 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 98.2 percent were domestic, and 1.8 percent were from foreign countries.

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Jyväskylä on average 1.4 nights (-0.05) and foreigners 2.2 nights (-0.01).
