In November 2020, 58,100 registered bed nights were recorded in Kainuu (-0.9 %), of which 53,600 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 4,600 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased one percent and registered foreign bed nights increased seven percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased one percent from last year's November.
48,700 nights (-5.3 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 9,500 nights (+30.3 %) by business visitors.
Between January and November, 760,000 registered bed nights (-8.0 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 43,000 (-50.8 %) for foreigners in Kainuu, in total 803,000 (-12.1 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded.

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 18 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 98.4 percent were domestic, and 1.6 percent were from foreign countries.

Registered accommodation sales in November were 2.8 million euro (+96,700).
Registered January-November sales were 33.8 million euro and they decreased 7.7 million euro from the previous year.
