Paid bed nights
Registered bed nights increased 11 percent
In June 2019, 71,400 registered bed nights were recorded in Kajaani Region (+10.9 %), of which 67,900 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 3,400 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 10 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 19 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 11 percent from last year's June.
64,100 nights (+12.7 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 7,300 nights (-3.4 %) by business visitors.
Between January and June, 397,000 registered bed nights (+6.0 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 44,100 (+24.4 %) for foreigners in Kajaani Region, in total 441,000 (+7.6 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded.

Length of stay increased one percent in registered accommodation
Length of stay in registered accommodation increased one percent compared to earlier year. In Kajaani Region, length of stay in June was on average 2.9 nights and in Finland 1.8 nights (+0.4 %).
During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Kajaani Region on average 2.9 nights (+3.1 %) and foreigners 2.9 nights (+20.0 %).
24,400 tourists arrived to registered accommodation
Arrivals to registered accommodation increased nine percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 95.1 percent were domestic, and 4.9 percent were from foreign countries.
During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Kajaani Region on average 2.9 nights (+0.02) and foreigners 2.9 nights (+0.44).
