In April 2020, 11,200 registered bed nights were recorded in Kajaani Region (-83.9 %), of which 11,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 153 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 83 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 96 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 84 percent from last year's April.
8,500 nights (-86.2 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 2,700 nights (-66.2 %) by business visitors.
Between January and April, 235,000 registered bed nights (-19.0 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 23,000 (-39.9 %) for foreigners in Kajaani Region, in total 258,000 (-21.5 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded.
