Registered bed nights increased 10 percent
In March 2019, 9,300 registered bed nights were recorded in Kajaani (+9.8 %), of which 8,800 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 580 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 11 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 10 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 10 percent from last year's March.
4,100 nights (-24.1 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 5,300 nights (+67.2 %) by business visitors.
Between January and March, 23,200 registered bed nights (+10.0 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 2,600 (-9.3 %) for foreigners in Kajaani, in total 25,800 (+7.7 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded.

Length of stay increased 10 percent in registered accommodation
Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 10 percent compared to earlier year. In Kajaani, length of stay in March was on average 1.6 nights and in Finland 2.0 nights (-2.4 %).
During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Kajaani on average 1.5 nights (+12.0 %) and foreigners 1.7 nights (-5.6 %).
