30,100 registered bed nights (August)

In August 2022, 30,100 registered bed nights were recorded in Kalajoki (-25.9 %), of which 28,400 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,700 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 30 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 370 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 26 percent from last year's August.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Denmark (360 nights).

26,800 nights (-30.5 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 3,300 nights (+55.1 %) by business visitors.

Between January and August, 210,000 registered bed nights (-5.6 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 11,700 (+788.5 %) for foreigners in Kalajoki, in total 222,000 (-1.0 %) registered nights.

Total of 2.3 million registered bed nights (+12.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 1.8 million nights (-2.2 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 560,000 nights (+114.2 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Kalajoki out of total registered bed nights was 1.3 % (-0.7 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.6 % and foreign bed nights 0.3 %.
