Registered bed nights increased 63 percent (March)

In March 2022, 10,100 registered bed nights were recorded in Kalajoki (+62.9 %), of which 10,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 181 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 60 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 1,500 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 63 percent from last year's March.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Poland (40 nights).

7,000 nights (+64.8 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 3,100 nights (+58.7 %) by business visitors.

Between January and March, 21,700 registered bed nights (+50.9 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 1,400 (+646.6 %) for foreigners in Kalajoki, in total 23,100 (+58.6 %) registered nights.

Total of 1.8 million registered bed nights (+105.0 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 1.4 million nights (+70.7 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 377,000 nights (+699.7 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Kalajoki out of total registered bed nights was 0.6 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.7 % and foreign bed nights 0.0 %.
