Kalmar County: Tourism in a nutshell
Registered bed nights increased nine percent
In June 2019, 426,000 bed nights were recorded in Kalmar County (+9.4 %), of which 345,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 80,500 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights increased seven percent and foreign bed nights increased 21 percent. In total, bed nights increased nine percent from last year's June.
Between January and June, 732,000 bed nights (+3.9 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 132,000 (+12.7 %) for foreigners in Kalmar County, in total 864,000 (+5.1 %) nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels, campsites, and commercially arranged rentals in private cottages and apartments. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.
