Registered bed nights increased 66 percent

In December 2021, 50,100 registered bed nights were recorded in Kalmar County (+65.9 %), of which 44,400 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 5,700 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 58 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 177 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 66 percent from last year's December.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (1,900 nights).

Between January and December, 2.8 million registered bed nights (+29.8 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 278,000 (+121.5 %) for foreigners in Kalmar County, in total 3.1 million (+34.8 %) registered nights.

Market share 1.5 percent

Total of 3.4 million registered bed nights (+85.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.8 million nights (+74.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 553,000 nights (+166.0 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Kalmar County out of total registered bed nights was 1.5 % (-0.2 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.6 % and foreign bed nights 1.0 %.
