Registered bed nights increased 10 percent

In September 2021, 134,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Kalmar County (+10.3 %), of which 114,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 20,700 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased five percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 50 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 10 percent from last year's September.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (10,500 nights).

Between January and September, 2.6 million registered bed nights (+29.0 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 251,000 (+130.3 %) for foreigners in Kalmar County, in total 2.9 million (+34.1 %) registered nights.

Market share 3.3 percent

Total of 4.1 million registered bed nights (+30.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.4 million nights (+24.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 723,000 nights (+65.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Kalmar County out of total registered bed nights was 3.3 % (-0.6 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 3.4 % and foreign bed nights 2.9 %.
