Kalmar County: Tourism in a nutshell
Registered bed nights increased nine percent
In February 2020, 51,200 bed nights were recorded in Kalmar County (+8.7 %), of which 45,100 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 6,200 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights increased five percent and foreign bed nights increased 47 percent. In total, bed nights increased nine percent from last year's February.
Between January and February, 82,900 bed nights (+4.6 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 12,200 (+61.2 %) for foreigners in Kalmar County, in total 95,100 (+9.6 %) nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels, campsites, and commercially arranged rentals in private cottages and apartments. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.
