Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 12 percent

In February 2023, 25,200 registered bed nights were recorded in Kanta-Häme (+12.0 %), of which 24,200 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,100 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 12 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased five percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 12 percent from last year's February.

15,400 nights (+14.6 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 9,800 nights (+8.1 %) by business visitors.

Between January and February, 44,500 registered bed nights (+31.3 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 2,200 (+39.3 %) for foreigners in Kanta-Häme, in total 46,600 (+31.7 %) registered nights.

Market share 1.4 percent

Total of 1.8 million registered bed nights (+24.5 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 1.2 million nights (+16.7 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 559,000 nights (+45.5 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Kanta-Häme out of total registered bed nights was 1.4 % (-0.2 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 2.0 % and foreign bed nights 0.2 %.

Length of stay was 1.8 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 12 percent compared to earlier year. In Kanta-Häme, length of stay in February was on average 1.8 nights and in Finland 2.1 nights (-8.5 %).

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Kanta-Häme on average 1.8 nights (-11.2 %) and foreigners 2.7 nights (-25.2 %).

13,800 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 27 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 97.2 percent were domestic, and 2.8 percent were from foreign countries.

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Kanta-Häme on average 1.8 nights (-0.23) and foreigners 2.7 nights (-1.1).

Registered January-February sales were 2.4 million euro and they increased 881,000 euro from the previous year.
