20,800 registered bed nights

In August 2020, 20,800 registered bed nights were recorded in Karlsborg (-0.4 %), of which 20,100 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 720 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 18 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 82 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased less than one percent from last year's August.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (530 nights).

2,200 rooms (+24.0 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 800 rooms (-49.4 %) by business visitors.

Between January and August, 82,600 registered bed nights (+14.1 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 2,900 (-81.2 %) for foreigners in Karlsborg, in total 85,500 (-2.6 %) registered nights.

Total of 6.0 million registered bed nights (-31.9 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 5.4 million nights (-11.3 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 638,000 nights (-77.1 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Karlsborg out of total registered bed nights was 0.3 % (+0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.4 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

9,300 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased four percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 96.3 percent were domestic, and 3.7 percent were from foreign countries.

During August, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Karlsborg on average 2.2 nights (+0.02) and foreigners 2.1 nights (+0.19).
