Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased eight percent

In March 2023, 2,400 registered bed nights were recorded in Karlsborg (+7.9 %), of which 2,300 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 148 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 11 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 22 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased eight percent from last year's March.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Norway (36 nights).

420 rooms (+203.7 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,100 rooms (+36.8 %) by business visitors.

Between January and March, 4,300 registered bed nights (-0.4 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 340 (-34.6 %) for foreigners in Karlsborg, in total 4,700 (-4.0 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.9 million registered bed nights (+4.8 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.2 million nights (+2.6 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 747,000 nights (+15.7 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Karlsborg out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.0 %.

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 51 percent compared to earlier year. In Karlsborg, length of stay in March was on average 1.6 nights and in Sweden 1.9 nights (-6.3 %).

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Karlsborg on average 1.6 nights (-47.4 %) and foreigners 2.6 nights (-31.3 %).
