Registered bed nights increased 20 percent

In June 2021, 18,600 registered bed nights were recorded in Karlsborg (+20.2 %), of which 18,100 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 470 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 19 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 123 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 20 percent from last year's June.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (310 nights).

1,600 rooms (+69.6 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,000 rooms (-1.8 %) by business visitors.

Between January and June, 38,800 registered bed nights (+32.2 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 740 (-54.5 %) for foreigners in Karlsborg, in total 39,600 (+27.6 %) registered nights.

Total of 4.9 million registered bed nights (+34.3 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 4.5 million nights (+31.1 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 456,000 nights (+76.4 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Karlsborg out of total registered bed nights was 0.4 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.4 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

8,500 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 16 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 97.4 percent were domestic, and 2.6 percent were from foreign countries.

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Karlsborg on average 2.2 nights (+0.08) and foreigners 2.1 nights (-0.44).
