Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased two percent

In June 2019, 15,400 registered bed nights were recorded in Karlsborg (+1.8 %), of which 13,100 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 2,300 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased less than one percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 14 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased two percent from last year's June.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Norway (900 nights).

1,000 rooms (+54.2 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 960 rooms (+47.8 %) by business visitors.

Between January and June, 27,800 registered bed nights (-8.5 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 4,800 (+3.5 %) for foreigners in Karlsborg, in total 32,600 (-6.9 %) registered nights.

Total of 7.1 million registered bed nights (+7.5 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 5.0 million nights (+8.2 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 2.1 million nights (+5.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Karlsborg out of total registered bed nights was 0.2 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.3 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

Length of stay was 7.0 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased eight percent compared to earlier year. In Karlsborg, length of stay in June was on average 7.0 nights and in Sweden 2.1 nights (+4.2 %).

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Karlsborg on average 6.9 nights (+14.8 %) and foreigners 8.1 nights (+37.7 %).

2,200 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 10 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 87.2 percent were domestic, and 12.8 percent were from foreign countries.
