Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased two percent

In August 2019, 20,900 registered bed nights were recorded in Karlsborg (+2.4 %), of which 17,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 3,900 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased one percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 22 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased two percent from last year's August.

1,600 rooms (+76.9 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,400 rooms (+40.9 %) by business visitors.

Between January and August, 72,400 registered bed nights (-7.1 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 15,400 (+11.2 %) for foreigners in Karlsborg, in total 87,800 (-4.4 %) registered nights.

Total of 8.9 million registered bed nights (+3.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 6.1 million nights (+4.0 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 2.8 million nights (+3.0 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Karlsborg out of total registered bed nights was 0.2 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.3 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

Length of stay was 7.1 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased less than one percent compared to earlier year. In Karlsborg, length of stay in August was on average 7.1 nights and in Sweden 2.2 nights (+0.4 %).

During August, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Karlsborg on average 6.7 nights (+7.2 %) and foreigners 9.4 nights (+9.9 %).
