Registered bed nights increased 72 percent

In December 2021, 5,400 registered bed nights were recorded in Karlshamn (+72.2 %), of which 5,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 400 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 74 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 55 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 72 percent from last year's December.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Denmark (86 nights).

1,400 rooms (+86.3 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,900 rooms (+28.4 %) by business visitors.

Between January and December, 121,000 registered bed nights (-2.5 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 23,200 (+125.7 %) for foreigners in Karlshamn, in total 144,000 (+7.3 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.4 million registered bed nights (+85.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.8 million nights (+74.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 553,000 nights (+166.0 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Karlshamn out of total registered bed nights was 0.2 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

2,800 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 36 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 91.9 percent were domestic, and 8.1 percent were from foreign countries.

During December, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Karlshamn on average 2.0 nights (+0.46) and foreigners 1.8 nights (-0.36).
