Karlshamn: Tourism in a nutshell
Registered accommodation. All changes are relative to the same period a year ago.
Registered bed nights increased 36 percent
In May 2022, 15,200 registered bed nights were recorded in Karlshamn (+36.3 %), of which 12,400 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 2,800 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 18 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 310 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 36 percent from last year's May.
Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Denmark (1,000 nights).
3,300 rooms (+55.9 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 4,600 rooms (+106.5 %) by business visitors.
Between January and May, 33,600 registered bed nights (+25.4 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 4,900 (+227.2 %) for foreigners in Karlshamn, in total 38,500 (+36.0 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 36 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 87.5 percent were domestic, and 12.5 percent were from foreign countries.
During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Karlshamn on average 1.9 nights (-0.15) and foreigners 3.0 nights (+1.2).
