Registered bed nights increased 55 percent

In May 2022, 7,500 registered bed nights were recorded in Karlskoga (+54.9 %), of which 6,400 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,100 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 40 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 330 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 55 percent from last year's May.

1,500 rooms (+254.1 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,800 rooms (+23.6 %) by business visitors.

Between January and May, 21,300 registered bed nights (+65.8 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 3,100 (+185.2 %) for foreigners in Karlskoga, in total 24,400 (+75.0 %) registered nights.

Total of 5.4 million registered bed nights (+64.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 4.4 million nights (+46.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 993,000 nights (+241.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Karlskoga out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

5,000 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 102 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 91.7 percent were domestic, and 8.3 percent were from foreign countries.

During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Karlskoga on average 1.4 nights (-0.5) and foreigners 2.6 nights (-1.4).
