Registered bed nights increased 55 percent
In April 2021, 2,800 registered bed nights were recorded in Karlskoga (+55.4 %), of which 2,500 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 280 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 66 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased one percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 55 percent from last year's April.
310 rooms (+60.1 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,100 rooms (+56.5 %) by business visitors.
Between January and April, 8,300 registered bed nights (-11.0 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 820 (-32.5 %) for foreigners in Karlskoga, in total 9,100 (-13.5 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels, campsites, and commercially arranged rentals in private cottages and apartments. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 96 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 92.9 percent were domestic, and 7.1 percent were from foreign countries.
During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Karlskoga on average 1.9 nights (-0.37) and foreigners 2.8 nights (-2.0).
