Registered bed nights increased 126 percent

In December 2021, 3,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Karlskoga (+126.0 %), of which 2,800 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 200 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 121 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 240 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 126 percent from last year's December.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from United States (90 nights).

820 rooms (+280.9 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,300 rooms (+118.5 %) by business visitors.

Between January and December, 52,300 registered bed nights (+33.8 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 4,900 (-9.9 %) for foreigners in Karlskoga, in total 57,100 (+28.6 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.4 million registered bed nights (+85.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.8 million nights (+74.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 553,000 nights (+166.0 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Karlskoga out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.0 %.

1,500 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 139 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 95.0 percent were domestic, and 5.0 percent were from foreign countries.

During December, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Karlskoga on average 2.0 nights (-0.13) and foreigners 2.7 nights (-0.14).
