Registered bed nights increased 64 percent
In May 2021, 4,900 registered bed nights were recorded in Karlskoga (+64.3 %), of which 4,600 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 260 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 88 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 49 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 64 percent from last year's May.
Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from France (99 nights).
220 rooms (-3.0 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,400 rooms (+62.9 %) by business visitors.
Between January and May, 12,900 registered bed nights (+9.7 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 1,100 (-37.5 %) for foreigners in Karlskoga, in total 13,900 (+3.7 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 135 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 95.8 percent were domestic, and 4.2 percent were from foreign countries.
During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Karlskoga on average 4.1 nights (-1.7) and foreigners 5.2 nights (-1.4).
