Registered bed nights increased 33 percent
In May 2022, 37,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Karlskrona (+32.6 %), of which 29,100 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 8,000 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 16 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 178 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 33 percent from last year's May.
7,300 rooms (+193.9 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 11,000 rooms (+75.3 %) by business visitors.
Between January and May, 82,700 registered bed nights (+40.3 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 23,600 (+344.5 %) for foreigners in Karlskrona, in total 106,000 (+65.4 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 43 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 83.7 percent were domestic, and 16.3 percent were from foreign countries.
During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Karlskrona on average 2.0 nights (-0.22) and foreigners 2.8 nights (-0.52).
