Registered bed nights increased 91 percent

In April 2021, 13,900 registered bed nights were recorded in Karlskrona (+91.3 %), of which 12,900 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,000 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 84 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 270 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 91 percent from last year's April.

2,300 rooms (+320.5 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 5,600 rooms (+60.5 %) by business visitors.

Between January and April, 33,900 registered bed nights (-14.9 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 2,400 (-22.4 %) for foreigners in Karlskrona, in total 36,300 (-15.4 %) registered nights.

Total of 2.6 million registered bed nights (+102.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.3 million nights (+103.3 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 218,000 nights (+90.8 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Karlskrona out of total registered bed nights was 0.5 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.6 % and foreign bed nights 0.5 %.

7,400 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 119 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 92.6 percent were domestic, and 7.4 percent were from foreign countries.

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Karlskrona on average 1.9 nights (-0.25) and foreigners 1.9 nights (-1.1).
