Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 12 percent

In June 2019, 54,700 registered bed nights were recorded in Karlskrona (+12.1 %), of which 44,800 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 9,900 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 13 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 10 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 12 percent from last year's June.

7,300 rooms (+85.8 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 8,500 rooms (-9.2 %) by business visitors.

Between January and June, 121,000 registered bed nights (+6.4 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 20,200 (-5.6 %) for foreigners in Karlskrona, in total 142,000 (+4.5 %) registered nights.

Total of 7.1 million registered bed nights (+7.5 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 5.0 million nights (+8.2 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 2.1 million nights (+5.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Karlskrona out of total registered bed nights was 0.8 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.9 % and foreign bed nights 0.5 %.

Length of stay increased 10 percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 10 percent compared to earlier year. In Karlskrona, length of stay in June was on average 2.2 nights and in Sweden 2.1 nights (+4.2 %).

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Karlskrona on average 2.2 nights (+2.8 %) and foreigners 1.9 nights (-1.6 %).

25,300 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased one percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 79.6 percent were domestic, and 20.4 percent were from foreign countries.

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Karlskrona on average 2.2 nights (+0.24) and foreigners 1.9 nights (+0.08).
