Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 80 percent

In February 2022, 14,200 registered bed nights were recorded in Karlskrona (+80.2 %), of which 10,900 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 3,300 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 47 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 610 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 80 percent from last year's February.

4,400 rooms (+204.3 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 5,900 rooms (+42.4 %) by business visitors.

Between January and February, 20,700 registered bed nights (+65.5 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 6,800 (+710.4 %) for foreigners in Karlskrona, in total 27,500 (+106.0 %) registered nights.

Total of 2.9 million registered bed nights (+10.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.3 million nights (-3.3 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 571,000 nights (+159.3 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Karlskrona out of total registered bed nights was 0.5 % (+0.2 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.5 % and foreign bed nights 0.6 %.

Length of stay increased five percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased five percent compared to earlier year. In Karlskrona, length of stay in February was on average 2.2 nights and in Sweden 2.0 nights (-34.6 %).

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Karlskrona on average 2.1 nights (-5.7 %) and foreigners 3.2 nights (+22.6 %).

6,300 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 71 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 83.6 percent were domestic, and 16.4 percent were from foreign countries.

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Karlskrona on average 2.1 nights (-0.05) and foreigners 3.2 nights (+0.65).
