Registered bed nights increased five percent

In September 2020, 6,200 registered bed nights were recorded in Katrineholm (+5.0 %), of which 6,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 148 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased eight percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 48 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased five percent from last year's September.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from United Kingdom (32 nights).

1,400 rooms (+4.1 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 2,100 rooms (-9.1 %) by business visitors.

Between January and September, 72,500 registered bed nights (-9.4 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 1,600 (-72.2 %) for foreigners in Katrineholm, in total 74,100 (-13.7 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.1 million registered bed nights (-30.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.7 million nights (-19.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 441,000 nights (-61.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Katrineholm out of total registered bed nights was 0.2 % (+0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.0 %.

3,400 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased seven percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 97.9 percent were domestic, and 2.1 percent were from foreign countries.

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Katrineholm on average 1.8 nights (+0.18) and foreigners 2.1 nights (+0.63).
