Registered bed nights increased 22 percent

In May 2022, 10,600 registered bed nights were recorded in Katrineholm (+22.1 %), of which 10,200 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 420 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 19 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 177 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 22 percent from last year's May.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (149 nights).

1,800 rooms (+77.2 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 2,000 rooms (+9.7 %) by business visitors.

Between January and May, 27,500 registered bed nights (+30.2 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 1,400 (+92.3 %) for foreigners in Katrineholm, in total 28,900 (+32.3 %) registered nights.

Total of 5.4 million registered bed nights (+64.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 4.4 million nights (+46.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 993,000 nights (+241.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Katrineholm out of total registered bed nights was 0.2 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.0 %.

5,600 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 47 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 95.5 percent were domestic, and 4.5 percent were from foreign countries.

During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Katrineholm on average 1.9 nights (-0.39) and foreigners 1.7 nights (-0.1).
