Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased eight percent

In March 2021, 3,600 registered bed nights were recorded in Katrineholm (+7.8 %), of which 3,400 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 164 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased eight percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 12 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased eight percent from last year's March.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Latvia (63 nights).

740 rooms (+11.0 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,900 rooms (+9.1 %) by business visitors.

Between January and March, 8,500 registered bed nights (-14.7 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 380 (-27.3 %) for foreigners in Katrineholm, in total 8,900 (-15.3 %) registered nights.

Total of 2.9 million registered bed nights (+2.8 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.7 million nights (+11.1 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 218,000 nights (-46.3 %) by foreigners.

Length of stay increased 65 percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 65 percent compared to earlier year. In Katrineholm, length of stay in March was on average 3.3 nights and in Sweden 3.2 nights (+21.8 %).

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Katrineholm on average 3.2 nights (+59.1 %) and foreigners 4.1 nights (-4.7 %).
