Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 27 percent

In June 2022, 14,200 registered bed nights were recorded in Katrineholm (+27.0 %), of which 13,300 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 940 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 21 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 320 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 27 percent from last year's June.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (360 nights).

2,300 rooms (+69.9 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,700 rooms (+3.8 %) by business visitors.

Between January and June, 40,800 registered bed nights (+27.1 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 2,300 (+145.3 %) for foreigners in Katrineholm, in total 43,200 (+30.5 %) registered nights.

Total of 6.9 million registered bed nights (+39.7 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 5.2 million nights (+17.3 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 1.6 million nights (+259.5 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Katrineholm out of total registered bed nights was 0.2 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.3 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

Length of stay was 2.9 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 38 percent compared to earlier year. In Katrineholm, length of stay in June was on average 2.9 nights and in Sweden 1.9 nights (-13.2 %).

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Katrineholm on average 2.8 nights (-31.9 %) and foreigners 7.8 nights (-2.1 %).
