In December 2018, 6,400 registered bed nights were recorded in Kauhava (-7.9 %), of which 6,300 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 111 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased nine percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 690 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased eight percent from last year's December.
5,700 nights (-8.3 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 690 nights (-4.3 %) by business visitors.
Between January and December, 130,000 registered bed nights (+1.6 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 2,400 (-39.3 %) for foreigners in Kauhava, in total 132,000 (+0.4 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded.

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 14 percent compared to earlier year. In Kauhava, length of stay in December was on average 2.1 nights and in Finland 2.0 nights (+1.4 %).
During December, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Kauhava on average 2.1 nights (-6.8 %) and foreigners 2.9 nights (-29.9 %).
3,000 tourists arrived to registered accommodation
Arrivals to registered accommodation increased seven percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 98.7 percent were domestic, and 1.3 percent were from foreign countries.
During December, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Kauhava on average 2.1 nights (-0.36) and foreigners 2.9 nights (+1.8).
