Registered bed nights increased 14 percent
In January 2018, 1,500 registered bed nights were recorded in Kaustinen Region (+14.3 %), of which 1,400 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 90 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 17 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 17 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 14 percent from last year's January.
1,300 nights (+9.8 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 210 nights (+42.6 %) by business visitors.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded.

Length of stay increased seven percent in registered accommodation
Length of stay in registered accommodation increased seven percent compared to earlier year. In Kaustinen Region, length of stay in January was on average 2.3 nights and in Finland 2.0 nights (-0.3 %).
During January, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Kaustinen Region on average 2.4 nights and foreigners 2.1 nights .
650 tourists arrived to registered accommodation
Arrivals to registered accommodation increased seven percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 93.4 percent were domestic, and 6.6 percent were from foreign countries.
During January, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Kaustinen Region on average 2.4 nights (+0.27) and foreigners 2.1 nights (-3.6).
