Kehys-Kainuu Region: Tourism in a nutshell
1,700 registered bed nights
In November 2019, 1,700 bed nights were recorded in Kehys-Kainuu Region (-22.1 %), of which 1,600 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 42 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights decreased 19 percent and foreign bed nights decreased 67 percent. In total, bed nights decreased 22 percent from last year's November.
1,300 nights (-29.7 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 390 nights (+19.5 %) by business visitors.
Between January and November, 87,400 bed nights (-9.8 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 20,800 (-25.2 %) for foreigners in Kehys-Kainuu Region, in total 108,000 (-13.3 %) nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded.

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 14 percent compared to earlier year. Of all arrivals, 98.6 percent were domestic, and 1.4 percent were from foreign countries.
During November, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Kehys-Kainuu Region on average 1.6 nights (-0.19) and foreigners 3.0 nights (+1.1).
