In April 2019, 6,100 registered bed nights were recorded in Kehys-Kainuu Region (-28.0 %), of which 5,300 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 810 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 28 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 25 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 28 percent from last year's April.
5,900 nights (-27.6 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 260 nights (-35.7 %) by business visitors.
Between January and April, 20,100 registered bed nights (-40.6 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 8,900 (-27.0 %) for foreigners in Kehys-Kainuu Region, in total 29,000 (-37.0 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded.

Length of stay increased one percent in registered accommodation
Length of stay in registered accommodation increased one percent compared to earlier year. In Kehys-Kainuu Region, length of stay in April was on average 2.5 nights and in Finland 1.9 nights (-0.4 %).
During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Kehys-Kainuu Region on average 2.8 nights (-3.6 %) and foreigners 1.5 nights (-17.3 %).
2,500 tourists arrived to registered accommodation
Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 29 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 78.1 percent were domestic, and 21.9 percent were from foreign countries.
During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Kehys-Kainuu Region on average 2.8 nights (+0.42) and foreigners 1.5 nights (-2.4).
