In June 2020, 8,800 registered bed nights were recorded in Kehys-Kainuu Region (-32.6 %), of which 8,400 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 440 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 23 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 80 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 33 percent from last year's June.
7,600 nights (-39.1 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 1,200 nights (+96.6 %) by business visitors.
Between January and June, 17,800 registered bed nights (-46.1 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 5,600 (-51.3 %) for foreigners in Kehys-Kainuu Region, in total 23,400 (-47.4 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded.

Length of stay was 1.7 nights in registered accommodation
Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 15 percent compared to earlier year. In Kehys-Kainuu Region, length of stay in June was on average 1.7 nights and in Finland 1.9 nights (+4.2 %).
During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Kehys-Kainuu Region on average 1.6 nights (-25.4 %) and foreigners 6.5 nights (-45.3 %).
5,300 tourists arrived to registered accommodation
Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 20 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 98.7 percent were domestic, and 1.3 percent were from foreign countries.
During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Kehys-Kainuu Region on average 1.6 nights (-0.34) and foreigners 6.5 nights (+4.3).
