Registered bed nights increased eight percent
In November 2018, 4,800 bed nights were recorded in Kemi (+8.0 %), of which 4,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 790 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights increased seven percent and foreign bed nights increased 15 percent. In total, bed nights increased eight percent from last year's November.
Most foreign bed nights were recorded for travelers from Sweden (230 nights).
1,200 nights (+10.3 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 3,600 nights (+7.3 %) by business visitors.
Between January and November, 50,100 bed nights (+0.8 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 28,600 (+4.7 %) for foreigners in Kemi, in total 78,700 (+2.2 %) nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded.

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased seven percent compared to earlier year. Of all arrivals, 83.6 percent were domestic, and 16.4 percent were from foreign countries.
During November, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Kemi on average 1.7 nights (+0.08) and foreigners 1.7 nights (-0.4).

The airport received a total of 2,900 passengers, which means air passenger arrivals increased seven percent.
Of local passengers, 0.0 % arrived from abroad, thus the share of domestic passengers was 100.0 %.
