22,300 registered bed nights (July)
In July 2020, 22,300 bed nights were recorded in Kittilä (-20.6 %), of which 20,900 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,300 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights decreased six percent and foreign bed nights decreased 77 percent. In total, bed nights decreased 21 percent from last year's July.
Most foreign bed nights were recorded for travelers from Norway (820 nights).
19,100 nights (-9.5 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 3,200 nights (-54.3 %) by business visitors.
Between January and July, 106,000 bed nights (-36.3 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 131,000 (-21.8 %) for foreigners in Kittilä, in total 237,000 (-29.0 %) nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded.

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 18 percent compared to earlier year. Of all arrivals, 94.2 percent were domestic, and 5.8 percent were from foreign countries.
During July, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Kittilä on average 1.7 nights (-0.29) and foreigners 1.8 nights (+0.55).

The number of international congress quests increased 750 percent from the previous year.
There was a total of 3.0 congresses organized (+1.0) in 2019.
890 air travelers
The airport received a total of 890 passengers, which means air passenger arrivals decreased 52 percent.
Of local passengers, 0.0 % arrived from abroad, thus the share of domestic passengers was 100.0 %.
In addition, there were 810 passengers departing the airport (-60.9 %), therefore the total number of trips via the airport was 1,700 (-56.8 %).

Total accommodation sales in July were 1.3 million euro (+122,000). The share of Airbnb and HomeAway was 46.9 percent. Therefore, registered accommodation sales were 695,000 euro (-117,000) and non-registered sales 613,000 euro (+239,000).
Total January-July sales were 20.9 million euro and they decreased 1.8 million euro from the previous year.
