14,300 registered bed nights (October)
In October 2020, 14,300 bed nights were recorded in Kittilä (-26.4 %), of which 14,100 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 250 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights decreased 12 percent and foreign bed nights decreased 93 percent. In total, bed nights decreased 26 percent from last year's October.
10,700 nights (+0.5 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 3,600 nights (-59.3 %) by business visitors.
Between January and October, 160,000 bed nights (-28.5 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 132,000 (-25.6 %) for foreigners in Kittilä, in total 293,000 (-27.2 %) nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded.

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 43 percent compared to earlier year. Of all arrivals, 98.8 percent were domestic, and 1.2 percent were from foreign countries.
During October, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Kittilä on average 2.8 nights (+0.61) and foreigners 4.0 nights (+1.9).

The number of international congress quests increased 750 percent from the previous year.
There was a total of 3.0 congresses organized (+1.0) in 2019.
2,400 air travelers (October)
The airport received a total of 2,400 passengers, which means air passenger arrivals increased 29 percent.
Of local passengers, 0.1 % arrived from abroad, thus the share of domestic passengers was 99.9 %.
In addition, there were 2,400 passengers departing the airport (+38.5 %), therefore the total number of trips via the airport was 4,900 (+33.4 %).

Total accommodation sales in October were 1.5 million euro (+2,000). The share of Airbnb and Vrbo was 55.4 percent. Therefore, registered accommodation sales were 650,000 euro (-307,000) and non-registered sales 807,000 euro (+309,000).
Total January-October sales were 25.6 million euro and they decreased 1.7 million euro from the previous year.
