Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 13 percent

In August 2021, 4,900 registered bed nights were recorded in Klippan (+13.3 %), of which 3,700 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,200 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased eight percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 300 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 13 percent from last year's August.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (430 nights).

560 rooms (+39.3 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 250 rooms (-39.7 %) by business visitors.

Between January and August, 17,700 registered bed nights (-6.9 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 2,800 (+34.5 %) for foreigners in Klippan, in total 20,500 (-2.8 %) registered nights.

Total of 8.4 million registered bed nights (+39.1 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 6.8 million nights (+25.4 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 1.6 million nights (+160.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Klippan out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

Length of stay was 2.4 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 65 percent compared to earlier year. In Klippan, length of stay in August was on average 2.4 nights and in Sweden 2.2 nights (-3.6 %).

During August, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Klippan on average 2.5 nights (-34.8 %) and foreigners 2.1 nights (-28.7 %).

2,000 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 220 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 72.5 percent were domestic, and 27.5 percent were from foreign countries.

During August, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Klippan on average 2.5 nights (-4.7) and foreigners 2.1 nights (-1.7).
