Registered bed nights increased 162 percent
In April 2021, 5,200 registered bed nights were recorded in Kokkola Region (+162.4 %), of which 5,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 117 nights by foreigners.
2,300 nights (+359.2 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 2,900 nights (+96.1 %) by business visitors.
Between January and April, 18,500 registered bed nights (+11.5 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 550 (-77.0 %) for foreigners in Kokkola Region, in total 19,100 (+0.4 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded.

Length of stay was 1.7 nights in registered accommodation
Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 35 percent compared to earlier year. In Kokkola Region, length of stay in April was on average 1.7 nights and in Finland 2.5 nights (-15.8 %).
During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Kokkola Region on average 1.7 nights (+4.1 %) and foreigners 2.7 nights (-7.3 %).

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 300 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 98.6 percent were domestic, and 1.4 percent were from foreign countries.
