7,400 bed nights in paid accommodation
Total of 7,400 bed nights (+9.3 %) were recorded in paid accommodation in Kokkola in April 2018. This figure includes bed nights at registered establishments as well as at AirBnB and Vrbo. The share of registered bed nights was 94 % and non-registered 6.4 %.
Between January and April, the number of paid bed nights was 30,000 (+3.2 %). Share of registered was 94 % and non-registered 6.0 %.

Registered bed nights increased four percent
In April 2018, 7,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Kokkola (+4.3 %), of which 6,300 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 650 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 10 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 31 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased four percent from last year's April.
2,400 nights (-3.4 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 4,600 nights (+8.7 %) by business visitors.
Between January and April, 24,900 registered bed nights (+2.1 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 3,300 (-11.1 %) for foreigners in Kokkola, in total 28,200 (+0.3 %) registered nights.

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased three percent compared to earlier year. In Kokkola, length of stay in April was on average 1.6 nights and in Finland 1.9 nights (-1.2 %).
During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Kokkola on average 1.5 nights (+0.0 %) and foreigners 3.0 nights (+2.0 %).

Total accommodation sales in April were 502,000 euro (+39,300). The share of Airbnb and Vrbo was 2.1 percent. Therefore, registered accommodation sales were 492,000 euro (+31,400) and non-registered sales 10,600 euro (+7,900).
Total January-April sales were 2.0 million euro and they increased 81,400 euro from the previous year.
