Total of 7,500 bed nights (+1.0 %) were recorded in paid accommodation in Kokkola in April 2019. This figure includes bed nights at registered establishments as well as at AirBnB and Vrbo. The share of registered bed nights was 87 % and non-registered 13 %.
Between January and April, the number of paid bed nights was 31,000 (+3.2 %). Share of registered was 88 % and non-registered 12 %.

In April 2019, 6,500 registered bed nights were recorded in Kokkola (-5.9 %), of which 5,800 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 710 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased seven percent and registered foreign bed nights increased nine percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased six percent from last year's April.
2,600 nights (+11.0 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 3,900 nights (-14.6 %) by business visitors.
Between January and April, 24,000 registered bed nights (-3.6 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 3,300 (+0.1 %) for foreigners in Kokkola, in total 27,300 (-3.2 %) registered nights.

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 10 percent compared to earlier year. In Kokkola, length of stay in April was on average 1.5 nights and in Finland 1.9 nights (-0.4 %).
During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Kokkola on average 1.4 nights (-0.3 %) and foreigners 2.4 nights (+2.5 %).

Total accommodation sales in April were 481,000 euro (-21,900). The share of Airbnb and Vrbo was 4.0 percent. Therefore, registered accommodation sales were 461,000 euro (-30,600) and non-registered sales 19,400 euro (+8,700).
Total January-April sales were 2.1 million euro and they increased 29,900 euro from the previous year.
