Total of 8,900 bed nights (-8.4 %) were recorded in paid accommodation in Kokkola in April 2023. This figure includes bed nights at registered establishments as well as at AirBnB and Vrbo. The share of registered bed nights was 74 % and non-registered 26 %.

In April 2023, 6,500 registered bed nights were recorded in Kokkola (-13.5 %), of which 5,800 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 740 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 18 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 67 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 14 percent from last year's April.
2,600 nights (-30.6 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 3,900 nights (+3.3 %) by business visitors.
Between January and April, 23,200 registered bed nights (-2.4 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 3,600 (+108.3 %) for foreigners in Kokkola, in total 26,800 (+5.2 %) registered nights.

Total accommodation sales in April were 590,000 euro (+52,500). The share of Airbnb and Vrbo was 6.9 percent. Therefore, registered accommodation sales were 550,000 euro (+48,000) and non-registered sales 40,700 euro (+4,500).
Total January-April sales were 2.3 million euro and they increased 498,000 euro from the previous year.
