6,500 registered bed nights

In April 2023, 6,500 registered bed nights were recorded in Kokkola (-13.5 %), of which 5,800 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 740 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 18 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 67 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 14 percent from last year's April.

2,600 nights (-30.6 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 3,900 nights (+3.3 %) by business visitors.

Between January and April, 23,200 registered bed nights (-2.4 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 3,600 (+108.3 %) for foreigners in Kokkola, in total 26,800 (+5.2 %) registered nights.

Total of 1.5 million registered bed nights (-3.4 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 1.3 million nights (-7.3 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 265,000 nights (+21.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Kokkola out of total registered bed nights was 0.4 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.5 % and foreign bed nights 0.3 %.

Total accommodation sales in April were 590,000 euro (+52,500). The share of Airbnb and Vrbo was 6.9 percent. Therefore, registered accommodation sales were 550,000 euro (+48,000) and non-registered sales 40,700 euro (+4,500).

Total January-April sales were 2.3 million euro and they increased 498,000 euro from the previous year.
