Total of 95,900 bed nights (-3.8 %) were recorded in paid accommodation in Kolari in December 2022. This figure includes bed nights at registered establishments as well as at AirBnB and Vrbo. The share of registered bed nights was 64 % and non-registered 36 %.
Between January and December, the number of paid bed nights was 769,000 (+11.8 %). Share of registered was 45 % and non-registered 55 %.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded. Non-registered bed nights statistics include bed nights from AirBnB and Vrbo.
60,900 registered bed nights
In December 2022, 60,900 registered bed nights were recorded in Kolari (-2.6 %), of which 14,200 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 46,700 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 24 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased seven percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased three percent from last year's December.
Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from United Kingdom (28,700 nights).
59,800 nights (-1.9 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 1,200 nights (-28.8 %) by business visitors.
Between January and December, 199,000 registered bed nights (+0.6 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 150,000 (+205.2 %) for foreigners in Kolari, in total 349,000 (+41.4 %) registered nights.

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased two percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 18.5 percent were domestic, and 81.5 percent were from foreign countries.
During December, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Kolari on average 5.5 nights (+0.15) and foreigners 4.1 nights (+0.05).

Total accommodation sales in December were 4.4 million euro (+124,000). The share of Airbnb and Vrbo was 39.0 percent. Therefore, registered accommodation sales were 2.7 million euro (+84,300) and non-registered sales 1.7 million euro (+40,000).
Total January-December sales were 32.3 million euro and they increased 7.1 million euro from the previous year.
