Registered bed nights increased 13 percent
In February 2020, 60,300 bed nights were recorded in Kolari (+12.7 %), of which 19,800 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 40,500 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights increased 22 percent and foreign bed nights increased nine percent. In total, bed nights increased 13 percent from last year's February.
Most foreign bed nights were recorded for travelers from France (8,000 nights).
59,600 nights (+11.9 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 720 nights (+170.5 %) by business visitors.
Between January and February, 31,500 bed nights (+19.9 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 80,400 (+9.6 %) for foreigners in Kolari, in total 112,000 (+12.3 %) nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded.

12,000 tourists arrived to accommodation
Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 30 percent compared to earlier year. Of all arrivals, 41.4 percent were domestic, and 58.6 percent were from foreign countries.
During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Kolari on average 4.0 nights (-0.78) and foreigners 5.8 nights (-0.62).

Registered accommodation sales in February were 2.8 million euro (+208,000).
Registered January-February sales were 4.8 million euro and they increased 424,000 euro from the previous year.
