Total of 86,500 bed nights (+3.8 %) were recorded in paid accommodation in Kolari in January 2023. This figure includes bed nights at registered establishments as well as at AirBnB and Vrbo. The share of registered bed nights was 62 % and non-registered 38 %.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded. Non-registered bed nights statistics include bed nights from AirBnB and Vrbo.
Registered bed nights increased 10 percent
In January 2023, 53,600 registered bed nights were recorded in Kolari (+9.9 %), of which 12,400 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 41,200 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased four percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 12 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 10 percent from last year's January.
52,600 nights (+9.5 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 1,100 nights (+37.4 %) by business visitors.

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 22 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 20.6 percent were domestic, and 79.4 percent were from foreign countries.
During January, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Kolari on average 5.1 nights (+0.47) and foreigners 4.4 nights (-0.82).
