Registered bed nights increased 12 percent
In December 2021, 5,200 registered bed nights were recorded in Koli (+11.8 %), of which 5,100 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 129 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 10 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 360 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 12 percent from last year's December.
4,800 nights (+10.8 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 380 nights (+25.7 %) by business visitors.
Between January and December, 94,700 registered bed nights (+50.1 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 1,000 (-58.6 %) for foreigners in Koli, in total 95,700 (+45.9 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded.

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 12 percent compared to earlier year. In Koli, length of stay in December was on average 1.8 nights and in Finland 2.2 nights (-5.9 %).
During December, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Koli on average 1.8 nights (+13.0 %) and foreigners 4.2 nights (-2.5 %).
2,900 tourists arrived to registered accommodation
Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 27 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 98.9 percent were domestic, and 1.1 percent were from foreign countries.
During December, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Koli on average 1.8 nights (-0.26) and foreigners 4.2 nights (+1.8).
