Köping: Tourism in a nutshell
Registered accommodation. All changes are relative to the same period a year ago.
Registered bed nights increased 38 percent
In May 2022, 4,500 registered bed nights were recorded in Köping (+38.5 %), of which 4,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 560 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 31 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 133 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 38 percent from last year's May.
760 rooms (+70.8 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 2,200 rooms (+36.1 %) by business visitors.
Between January and May, 13,500 registered bed nights (+55.6 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 1,400 (+88.5 %) for foreigners in Köping, in total 14,900 (+58.2 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.

2,700 tourists arrived to registered accommodation
Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 108 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 87.3 percent were domestic, and 12.7 percent were from foreign countries.
During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Köping on average 1.7 nights (-0.83) and foreigners 1.7 nights (-1.2).
