Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased two percent

In June 2019, 5,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Köping (+2.3 %), of which 4,400 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 650 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased two percent and registered foreign bed nights increased five percent. In total, registered bed nights increased two percent from last year's June.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Poland (169 nights).

520 rooms (-27.3 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,900 rooms (-18.1 %) by business visitors.

Between January and June, 18,600 registered bed nights (-2.9 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 2,700 (-38.2 %) for foreigners in Köping, in total 21,300 (-9.4 %) registered nights.

Total of 7.1 million registered bed nights (+7.5 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 5.0 million nights (+8.2 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 2.1 million nights (+5.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Köping out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.0 %.

Length of stay increased 57 percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 57 percent compared to earlier year. In Köping, length of stay in June was on average 3.7 nights and in Sweden 2.1 nights (+4.2 %).

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Köping on average 3.9 nights (+13.1 %) and foreigners 2.9 nights (-35.8 %).

1,400 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 35 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 83.2 percent were domestic, and 16.8 percent were from foreign countries.

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Köping on average 3.9 nights (+1.5) and foreigners 2.9 nights (+0.27).
