Registered bed nights increased 31 percent
In August 2021, 4,900 registered bed nights were recorded in Köping (+30.6 %), of which 4,500 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 390 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 26 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 135 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 31 percent from last year's August.
Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (93 nights).
1,100 rooms (+96.2 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,200 rooms (+13.2 %) by business visitors.
Between January and August, 22,500 registered bed nights (+6.7 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 1,800 (+108.5 %) for foreigners in Köping, in total 24,300 (+10.7 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.

Length of stay increased four percent in registered accommodation
Length of stay in registered accommodation increased four percent compared to earlier year. In Köping, length of stay in August was on average 3.6 nights and in Sweden 2.2 nights (-3.6 %).
During August, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Köping on average 3.6 nights (+13.3 %) and foreigners 3.9 nights (+112.3 %).
1,300 tourists arrived to registered accommodation
Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 25 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 92.6 percent were domestic, and 7.4 percent were from foreign countries.
