Total of 18,700 bed nights (+82.7 %) were recorded in paid accommodation in Kotka-Hamina And Lovisa Region in May 2021. This figure includes bed nights at registered establishments as well as at AirBnB and Vrbo. The share of registered bed nights was 73 % and non-registered 27 %.

Between January and May, the number of paid bed nights was 62,900 (+18.0 %). Share of registered was 66 % and non-registered 34 %.

Registered bed nights increased 96 percent (Kotka-Hamina And Lovisa Region)

In May 2021, 13,700 registered bed nights were recorded in Kotka-Hamina And Lovisa Region (+96.2 %), of which 10,400 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 3,300 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 60 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 600 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 96 percent from last year's May.

6,800 nights (+80.7 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 6,900 nights (+114.1 %) by business visitors.

Between January and May, 34,600 registered bed nights (+24.5 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 6,700 (-18.8 %) for foreigners in Kotka-Hamina And Lovisa Region, in total 41,300 (+14.6 %) registered nights.

Accommodation sales 1.1 million euro (Kotka-Hamina And Lovisa Region)

Total accommodation sales in May were 1.1 million euro (+572,000). The share of Airbnb and Vrbo was 18.2 percent. Therefore, registered accommodation sales were 886,000 euro (+526,000) and non-registered sales 197,000 euro (+45,800).

Total January-May sales were 3.8 million euro and they increased 1.4 million euro from the previous year.
