Kouvola: Tourism in a nutshell
3,100 registered bed nights (May)
In May 2020, 3,100 bed nights were recorded in Kouvola (-80.0 %), of which 3,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 108 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights decreased 78 percent and foreign bed nights decreased 94 percent. In total, bed nights decreased 80 percent from last year's May.
Most foreign bed nights were recorded for travelers from Sweden (36 nights).
1,200 nights (-82.4 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 1,900 nights (-78.0 %) by business visitors.
Between January and May, 19,100 bed nights (-53.5 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 2,600 (-55.7 %) for foreigners in Kouvola, in total 21,800 (-53.8 %) nights.

During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Kouvola on average 1.9 nights (-0.12) and foreigners 2.3 nights (-0.29).
