6,700 bed nights in paid accommodation
Total of 6,700 bed nights (-31.1 %) were recorded in paid accommodation in Kouvola in March 2020. This figure includes bed nights at registered establishments as well as at AirBnB and Vrbo. The share of registered bed nights was 62 % and non-registered 38 %.
Between January and March, the number of paid bed nights was 25,000 (-19.9 %). Share of registered was 67 % and non-registered 33 %.

Paid bed nights
4,200 registered bed nights
In March 2020, 4,200 registered bed nights were recorded in Kouvola (-43.4 %), of which 3,900 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 330 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 41 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 63 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 43 percent from last year's March.
1,500 nights (-52.9 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 2,700 nights (-36.1 %) by business visitors.
Between January and March, 14,200 registered bed nights (-29.5 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 2,500 (-17.3 %) for foreigners in Kouvola, in total 16,700 (-27.9 %) registered nights.

Length of stay increased eight percent in registered accommodation
Length of stay in registered accommodation increased eight percent compared to earlier year. In Kouvola, length of stay in March was on average 1.7 nights and in Finland 2.3 nights (+14.6 %).
During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Kouvola on average 1.7 nights (-3.6 %) and foreigners 2.2 nights (+11.4 %).
2,500 tourists arrived to registered accommodation
Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 48 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 94.1 percent were domestic, and 5.9 percent were from foreign countries.
During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Kouvola on average 1.7 nights (+0.11) and foreigners 2.2 nights (+0.57).
