22,300 registered bed nights

In September 2020, 22,300 registered bed nights were recorded in Kristianstad (-6.2 %), of which 20,500 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,900 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased three percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 51 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased six percent from last year's September.

6,500 rooms (-4.0 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 3,700 rooms (-25.9 %) by business visitors.

Between January and September, 273,000 registered bed nights (+4.7 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 16,200 (-73.3 %) for foreigners in Kristianstad, in total 289,000 (-10.0 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.1 million registered bed nights (-30.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.7 million nights (-19.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 441,000 nights (-61.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Kristianstad out of total registered bed nights was 0.7 % (+0.2 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.8 % and foreign bed nights 0.4 %.

12,600 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased eight percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 92.0 percent were domestic, and 8.0 percent were from foreign countries.

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Kristianstad on average 1.8 nights (+0.05) and foreigners 1.9 nights (-0.06).
