Registered bed nights increased four percent

In September 2021, 23,300 registered bed nights were recorded in Kristianstad (+4.2 %), of which 19,300 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 4,000 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased six percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 109 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased four percent from last year's September.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (910 nights).

7,300 rooms (+12.9 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 4,900 rooms (+30.8 %) by business visitors.

Between January and September, 297,000 registered bed nights (+8.7 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 31,600 (+95.6 %) for foreigners in Kristianstad, in total 329,000 (+13.6 %) registered nights.

Total of 4.1 million registered bed nights (+30.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.4 million nights (+24.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 723,000 nights (+65.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Kristianstad out of total registered bed nights was 0.6 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.6 % and foreign bed nights 0.5 %.

12,400 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased two percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 86.6 percent were domestic, and 13.4 percent were from foreign countries.

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Kristianstad on average 1.8 nights (+0.03) and foreigners 2.4 nights (+0.51).
