38,000 registered bed nights

In June 2020, 38,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Kristianstad (-16.0 %), of which 36,500 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,500 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased one percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 83 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 16 percent from last year's June.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Denmark (560 nights).

4,500 rooms (-46.5 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 2,600 rooms (-40.3 %) by business visitors.

Between January and June, 102,000 registered bed nights (-14.7 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 7,800 (-68.9 %) for foreigners in Kristianstad, in total 110,000 (-24.1 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.7 million registered bed nights (-48.4 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.4 million nights (-32.3 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 257,000 nights (-87.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Kristianstad out of total registered bed nights was 1.0 % (+0.4 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.6 %.

15,600 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 24 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 95.4 percent were domestic, and 4.6 percent were from foreign countries.

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Kristianstad on average 2.5 nights (+0.21) and foreigners 2.1 nights (+0.03).
