Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased six percent

In June 2019, 45,300 registered bed nights were recorded in Kristianstad (+6.0 %), of which 36,200 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 9,100 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased five percent and registered foreign bed nights increased eight percent. In total, registered bed nights increased six percent from last year's June.

8,100 rooms (+22.1 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 4,200 rooms (+13.5 %) by business visitors.

Between January and June, 120,000 registered bed nights (+7.4 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 25,100 (+0.2 %) for foreigners in Kristianstad, in total 145,000 (+6.1 %) registered nights.

Total of 7.1 million registered bed nights (+7.5 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 5.0 million nights (+8.2 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 2.1 million nights (+5.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Kristianstad out of total registered bed nights was 0.6 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.7 % and foreign bed nights 0.4 %.

Length of stay increased eight percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased eight percent compared to earlier year. In Kristianstad, length of stay in June was on average 2.2 nights and in Sweden 2.1 nights (+4.2 %).

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Kristianstad on average 2.3 nights (-1.0 %) and foreigners 2.1 nights (+5.0 %).

20,200 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased two percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 78.7 percent were domestic, and 21.3 percent were from foreign countries.

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Kristianstad on average 2.3 nights (+0.16) and foreigners 2.1 nights (+0.16).
