Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 14 percent

In March 2021, 12,600 registered bed nights were recorded in Kristianstad (+14.2 %), of which 11,600 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,000 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 22 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 34 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 14 percent from last year's March.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Lithuania (103 nights).

2,400 rooms (-12.6 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 2,800 rooms (+14.9 %) by business visitors.

Between January and March, 29,200 registered bed nights (-5.7 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 2,400 (-52.6 %) for foreigners in Kristianstad, in total 31,600 (-12.3 %) registered nights.

Total of 2.9 million registered bed nights (+2.8 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.7 million nights (+11.1 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 218,000 nights (-46.3 %) by foreigners.

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 12 percent compared to earlier year. In Kristianstad, length of stay in March was on average 2.5 nights and in Sweden 3.2 nights (+21.8 %).

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Kristianstad on average 2.5 nights (+14.2 %) and foreigners 2.5 nights (+20.9 %).

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 30 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 91.8 percent were domestic, and 8.2 percent were from foreign countries.
