Registered bed nights increased 47 percent

In May 2022, 6,800 registered bed nights were recorded in Kristinehamn (+46.8 %), of which 5,300 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,500 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 28 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 220 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 47 percent from last year's May.

990 rooms (+60.8 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,400 rooms (+163.1 %) by business visitors.

Between January and May, 17,600 registered bed nights (+42.8 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 3,000 (+259.2 %) for foreigners in Kristinehamn, in total 20,600 (+56.6 %) registered nights.

Total of 5.4 million registered bed nights (+64.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 4.4 million nights (+46.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 993,000 nights (+241.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Kristinehamn out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

3,800 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 86 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 80.2 percent were domestic, and 19.8 percent were from foreign countries.

During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Kristinehamn on average 1.7 nights (-0.41) and foreigners 1.9 nights (-1.9).
