Registered bed nights increased 52 percent

In August 2021, 14,300 registered bed nights were recorded in Kristinehamn (+51.8 %), of which 9,600 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 4,700 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 12 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 480 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 52 percent from last year's August.

1,500 rooms (+54.5 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 530 rooms (-32.5 %) by business visitors.

Between January and August, 45,900 registered bed nights (+12.5 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 9,100 (+158.7 %) for foreigners in Kristinehamn, in total 55,100 (+24.1 %) registered nights.

Total of 8.4 million registered bed nights (+39.1 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 6.8 million nights (+25.4 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 1.6 million nights (+160.6 %) by foreigners.

Length of stay increased 21 percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 21 percent compared to earlier year. In Kristinehamn, length of stay in August was on average 6.5 nights and in Sweden 2.2 nights (-3.6 %).

During August, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Kristinehamn on average 4.7 nights (-1.5 %) and foreigners 26 nights (+144.5 %).
